One of the finest choirs in the country, The National Lutheran Choir is a 60+ voice mixed chorus that performs works from the entire spectrum of sacred choral music. Their rich and diverse repertoire includes traditional choral favorites from composers such as Bach, Rachmaninoff and F. Melius Christiansen, as well as spirituals, gospel songs and new compositions. The world-renowned SPANISH BRASS includes two trumpets, a French horn, trombone and tuba. These five fabulous musicians play a program ranging from Bach and Malcom Arnold to Duke Ellington, Henry Mancini and Fats Waller. Not only will their program choices display a wide variety of genres, but their presentation is unique in that all +the music is played from memory, and each piece in the program is choreographed! In the spring of 1934 the Dorsey Brothers Orchestra was born. In 1935, Tommy Dorsey left the band and Jimmy Dorsey became the leader. Jimmy was considered one of the finest clarinet and alto saxophone players of his day, until his death in 1957. The Jimmy Dorsey orchestra is now under the direction of legendary trombonist Bill Tole. In 1992, Nancy Knorr, the lead singer of the Pied Pipers, became the featured vocalist fo the orchestra.
