The international award-winning octet VOCES8 has established itself as the foremost young British a cappella group. Performing a repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphony to unique jazz and pop arrangement, the group has been praised for stunning performance, exquisite singing and creating a sound that spans the entire range of vocal color..

Founded in 2003 by ex-choristers of Westminster Abbey, VICES8 first achieved success in 2005, winning first prize at the International Choral Grand Prix in Goriza, Italy, winning first prize for best jazz performance. In 2006, VOCES8 took part in the International Choral Contest in Tolosa, Spain, again winning first prize – this time in both the sacred and secular categories.

Composed of 6 male and 2 female voices, VOCES8 performs widely in the UK, Europe and now in the USA. Recent highlights include choral competitions in Belgium, Span and Germany, and appearances on national television in Austria and Slovenia.

In February 2007 VOCES8 recorded their third and most recent album Evensong which was released in 2008 and has been overwhelmingly praised by critics around the globe. They also spend much time leading workshops and master classes in conjunction with their concert performances.
