The original inspiration behind Burning River Brass was to give great players, who were also good friends, a chance to play together on a consistent basis. In concert since 1996, the twelve members of BRB strive to present a variety of music that audiences find entertaining and which the ensemble enjoys playing. Their repertoire includes fresh arrangements of classic literature as well as original works written specifically for the group. From Bizet to Tchaikovsky, Bernstein and stirring selection from favorite movies, BRB in concerts from Alaska to Taiwan has been praised for their energy, sound and style, precision and for the infectious joy with which they perform.

Burning River Brass has released three CD's on the Dorian label, including Christmas Around the World, all praised for their energy, sound and style. They have been on NPR's Performance Today and Sunday Baroque, as well as on radio stations throughout this country and abroad.
